CARI Comptroller Completes Financial Management Training in Rwanda

GBARNGA, Bong County — Central Agricultural Research Institute (CARI) Comptroller Ernest Bee has completed a weeklong financial management training program in Kigali, Rwanda, aimed at strengthening institutional financial management and reporting through the use of relevant artificial intelligence tools.

The training, held at Cred Institute, was designed to equip financial personnel with the knowledge and skills needed to improve financial management systems and adapt to emerging technologies in the field.

Bee commended CARI management and the Ministry of Agriculture’s SADFON Project for providing him the opportunity to participate in the Financial Management Certificate Program.

He said the knowledge and skills acquired during the training would be shared with other members of the institute’s accounting section upon his return to Liberia.

According to Bee, the training is expected to strengthen CARI’s financial reporting system and improve the capacity of its accounting team to respond to evolving financial management demands.

Describing the program as rewarding, Bee said advances in technology worldwide make it important for financial professionals to remain informed about contemporary practices and tools for financial reporting.

He expressed optimism that the training would contribute to improving financial management practices at CARI.
