Former Montserrado County District No. 10 Rep. Yekeh Kolubah has announced his intention to contest Liberia’s presidency in 2029, declaring himself a political leader and calling on President Joseph Nyuma Boakai for a meeting.
Kolubah’s declaration signals his intention to remain active in Liberia’s political landscape despite his expulsion from the House of Representatives.
The former lawmaker also made a pointed statement about the ruling Unity Party (UP), saying that if he ever places UP stickers on his vehicle, he would support the party.
The development could add a new dimension to Liberia’s emerging 2029 political contest, although Kolubah’s presidential ambition, political platform, and possible alliances will become clearer as the election approaches.
