GBARNGA, Bong County — Bong County Senator Hon. Prince Kermue Moye, has pledged US$1,500 toward the completion of William V.S. Tubman Gray High School’s fence, 400 bags of cement, and LD$300,000 for two long-serving instructors.
Moye made the pledges while delivering the keynote address at the school’s 77th graduation ceremony. He also promised to sponsor valedictorian Emmanuel Joko through university until he earns a bachelor’s degree at a university of his choice in Liberia.
A former student of the institution, Moye encouraged graduates to remain committed to education, embrace opportunities, and work hard to achieve their goals.
He recounted how he sold biscuits and candy on the streets of Gbarnga to support himself while attending school, eventually expanding into business before entering public service.
The senator highlighted his previous support for the school, including a US$50,000 budgetary allocation, donations of whiteboards, and scholarship assistance for students.
He urged the graduates to use their education to become responsible leaders and contribute to Liberia’s development.
