The Ministry of Public Works has warned travelers heading to Zwedru of a critical road condition at the Duogee Town swampy section, approximately 20 kilometers from Toe Town, Grand Gedeh County, following reports of several vehicles being trapped along the road for days.
In a public notice issued Wednesday, October 21, the ministry said the affected section stretches about 100 meters and consists of saturated, unstable earth, with no alternative route available.
The ministry says its engineers are on-site working to stabilize the road. Meanwhile, light vehicles can still pass through the affected section, while operators of heavy-duty vehicles have been advised to reduce their gross loads to 20 tons temporarily to support ongoing stabilization efforts.
The ministry has apologized for the inconvenience and assured travelers that efforts are underway to restore the affected road section as quickly as possible.
